Double Tap Protect’s sealants originate from aerospace and superyacht technology, where protection against extreme UV exposure, salt spray, and atmospheric contamination is mission-critical.
Our cross-linking polymer formula bonds at just one micron thick — invisible to the eye and imperceptible to the touch, yet forming a protective barrier that repels moisture, fingerprints, and corrosive contaminants on contact.
Unlike traditional gun oils that evaporate and attract dirt, our sealant creates a permanent molecular bond with the surface. Apply it once, and your firearm stays protected for months — not days.
Application Methods
Two Ways to Protect
Liquid Bottles
Apply with a microfiber cloth for precision coverage. Our bottles allow controlled application on detailed surfaces — perfect for intricate actions, triggers, and scope housing. Available in Tactical Cleaner, Tactical Sealant, and Blued Maxx formulations.
Wipes
Individually sealed wipes for field application and convenience. Toss a pack in your range bag, go-kit, or gun case. Available in UV Protector and Corrosion Protector formulations, 6-packs.
Our Product Line
Tactical Cleaner
Double Tap Tactical Cleaner is a military-grade non solvent based formulation that dissolves carbon buildup, copper fouling, and lead deposits without harming any firearm finish. Biodegradable formula, no harsh fumes.
Application Instructions
Apply by spraying over exterior / interior and wipe down with a clean cloth or brush. For inside barrel, apply to patches and run them though until they come out clean. Follow with Double Tap Sealant for lasting protection.
Tactical Sealant
Double Tap Tactical Sealant creates a Ceramic barrier on metal, polymer, and synthetic surfaces. Protects against moisture, salt, solvents, and carbon exposure for up to 6 months per application. Use it every time you fire the weapon to add additional Ceramic protection.
Application Instructions
Apply by spraying over exterior and buff dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Ideal as an additional level of protection over the Double Tap Tactical Sealant kit or use on its own. Do not over-apply — one coat is sufficient.
Blued Maxx
Blued Maxx is specifically formulated for traditional blued steel finishes. Penetrates the porous oxide layer to provide corrosion protection from within, while restoring the deep black luster of blued firearms.
Application Instructions
Apply by spraying over a clean, blued surface and buff dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Reapply every 3–4 months or after heavy use.
UV Protector Wipes
Pre-saturated with Double Tap UV-resistant formula, these wipes protect optics, polymer components, and coated surfaces from UV degradation and moisture. Perfect for range bags and field kits.
Application Instructions
Remove UV Protector wipe from sealed packet. Wipe surfaces to be protected and allow to dry. Buff with a clean damp microfiber or apply Corrosion Protector wipe directly over it. Discard after use.
Corrosion Protector Wipes
Single-use wipes saturated with Double Tap anti-corrosion formula. Designed for quick field application to all metal firearm components. Each wipe provides up to 60 days of protection.
Application Instructions
Wipe all exposed metal surfaces after applying UV Protector wipe or after cleaning off moisture and salt. Discard after use. One wipe is sufficient for a standard pistol and magazine; use two for larger rifles.
